- Former Northern Lights General Manager William T. Nordeen participated in the official switch pulling that energized the chairlift at Schweitzer in December 1963.

- Schweitzer Mountain Resort’s parking area was turned into an assembly yard during fall construction. The main chairlift, called “Momma Bear,” required 20 towers leading up the slope.
