Montana – Low Income Energy Assistance (LIEAP)

The state of Montana, through the Department of Public Health and Human Service, offers two programs aimed at helping low income members reduce their heating costs. The LIEAP helps pay part of winter energy bills for eligible people.

The Low-Income Energy Assistance (LIEAP) application is available during the heating season, which is October 1 through April 30 of each year.

The Weatherization Program helps members to improve the heating efficiency of their homes and which reduce their energy consumption.

Applications are available by contacting the LIEAP office Community Action Partnership of Northwest Montana at (800) 344-5979 or visiting their website.
