POSITION TITLE:             

Journeyman Lineman for Sagle, Idaho Headquarters.

SALARY:                             

$61.12/hour

REQUIREMENTS:            

• Journeyman Lineman Certification.
• High school diploma.
• Must have or must obtain an Idaho Class A CDL within 30 days.
• Must reside within 35 miles drive of Sagle, ID Headquarters while employed in the position.
• Shall make themselves available for unscheduled overtime during consumer outages or emergencies and must be on an on-call rotation for night, weekend and holiday coverage.

OTHER:

• Must be knowledgeable and proficient with the use of hot sticks, operating backhoe, digger derrick, URD fault finding equipment, RUS construction standards and all overhead and URD maintenance and construction procedures.
• Duties include credit work, member/public relations, installing meters, performing cable locates, right of way clearing in addition to all other functions of Journeyman Lineman including keeping trucks, materials and tools organized.
• Emphasis on safety, skill, efficiency, and team personality.
• Must have or be able to obtain Flaggers Card, CPR / First Aid Card, Shoring and Excavation Competent Person Certification, OSHA 1910.269 training, Forklift Operators Certification.
• Position requires the use of tablets (i.e. iPad) for map applications, inspections, email and other tasks.
• Must be mentally and physically fit for duty.
• Able to work at elevated heights greater than 10 feet, ascend and descend stairs and ladders, and work in extreme cold and heat outdoors.
• Must have the ability to climb poles, including conducting pole top rescue.
• Walk on steep and uneven terrain while carrying materials and equipment.
• Operate chainsaws, including on steep and uneven terrain in all conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and able to reach above shoulder level with arms.

This position is considered to be a regular full-time position. The starting date is to be determined.
