For more than 90 years, Northern Lights has been proudly serving northern Idaho and western Montana.

Our headquarters sit in the small community of Sagle in the Idaho panhandle on Lake Pend Oreille–just five miles south of Sandpoint, Idaho, 40 miles north of Coeur d’Alene, and 65 miles east of Spokane, Washington. You’ll have convenient access to urban amenities while enjoying the benefits of small‑town living.

Northern Lights is primarily a distribution cooperative, serving approximately 24,000 accounts across northern Idaho, northwest Montana and a small portion of northeast Washington. Our system includes substations, transmission assets and a small 4.5 MW hydroelectric generation project.
