PrintEach year, the Idaho Consumer-Owned Utilities Association hosts a Youth Rally, a five-day leadership conference for high school students. Northern Lights will be selecting and sponsoring students to attend and join 80-100 other students selected by electric cooperatives in Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Wyoming, Nevada and Utah. For five days, students work on leadership, teamwork, cooperation, and communication skills. It also promotes an understanding of the utility industry and in particular, public power.
The Youth Rally leadership camp will take place July 6 -10, 2026 on the campus of Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho.
The Youth Rally is sponsored by the ICUA, Northern Lights and other participating utilities.

Who is Eligible to Apply?
- High school sophomores and juniors in passing academic standing.
- Parents or guardians must be co-op members.
- Students must complete the application process.
- Must submit complete application by April 15, 2026.
